SEND HELP

I look like I belong in some sort of band.

Anyone looking for a mediocre piano/trumpet/glockenspiel player? ‘Cause I’m available.

TGIF, friends! Question: Does anyone else dress up when they’re feeling ‘blah’? I feel like I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately, which is making me want to dress up a bit more. The idea is that if I dress up, I haven’t succumb to the rut I think I’m in.

To be honest, I’m not even sure if I’m in a rut, or just adjusting to freelance life. I’ve been working for 10 years (yikes), and whether I was in retail or working in the industry, I always had somewhere to go to do my work. However, freelance life means I do the majority of my work from home, and it can get a little boring to just sit in pyjamas all day, especially because I actually enjoy getting dressed and putting outfits together.
I’m still trying to get my bearings, working through what my day-to-day looks like, while trying to maintain a content calendar for my blog. I think this is the first time that I’ve truly tried to balance my work and my blog, and it certainly has its challenges. So far, optimism and caffeine, as well as the support of my family and friends, have kept me afloat. It’s been really great to have good peeps by my side along the way.
I am curious, though, for my fellow freelancers and bloggers: How do you stay organized and maintain structure when you work from home? If you’ve got any tips, holler at me!
