#LOLEWHITETOUR

I was feeling very zen.
And then, just before our yoga session was over, lightning was casually flashing in the distance. Yikes.

The Lole White Tour is an annual event that celebrates peace, meditation, and yoga—all of which I have been in desperate need of, because stress. I was invited to attend this year, and I absolutely could not pass up the opportunity.

I’ve been practising yoga, inconsistently, for a few years now, and one of the reasons I keep coming back to the mat is the community aspect of practicing yoga. I’m not always comfortable being left alone with my thoughts, so meditation hasn’t been the easiest thing for me to attempt. However, when I’m with a group of people, it’s easier to tune everything out and just be in the moment, moving in unison with everyone, and focusing on that, instead of the minutia of day-to-day life.

The event is held in the CNE grounds, with hundreds of people lined up in their all-white outfits and yellow yoga mats, which is hella aesthetic, and so worthy of the #content hashtag, I just cannot even emphasize that enough. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and I’m so grateful that I was able to be a part of it!
Oh! I guess I should also include that while we did see a bit of lightning later that evening, and some rain earlier in the day before the event, that there was no rain to be seen at all during the event! (This was something I was very worried about, because I hate to get white clothes dirty,  which was inevitable if it rained on us.)
Would you ever attend an event like this?
