Took a piece from part 1 and a new, “winterized”-ish piece to create the second instalment of my Canadian tuxedo series.
I’m also masking my lazy “photography” with grainy film filters because I can, okay?
By now, this is old news to you all, but in case there are a few new eyes around here—I have chosen not to shop this year. At first it was a bit difficult, but now I’m just trying to make a game of it, by utilizing all of the clothes in my wardrobe that would otherwise be ignored and shoved to the back of my closet to make room for new clothes. Today’s contestants were these two denim pieces, because the weather actually allowed me to wear them!
Looking back at the two blog posts that also featured variations of the Canadian tuxedo, a.k.a. top to bottom denim, really brought me back. It’s kind of crazy how much you can change in such a short amount of time, even if you don’t feel like you have. Real talk, I almost didn’t wear this out today, because the cowboy reference was a little too literal—but I’m actually not mad at it. A year ago, I’d have thought this was too costume-y, and opted for something safer. Growth!
Alright, keeping this VERY short today, ’cause I’m on deadline, and have other things to write about, other than denim outfits and my feelings. Bye!
